Best Buy is offering Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Plus for $39.99, a $30 reduction from its $69.99 original price. The deal also includes one month of Xbox Game Pass, listed as worth $22.99; the offer’s end date and eligibility details are not specified in the source report.
Best Buy is selling Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Plus for $39.99, down from its stated original price of $69.99, and the deal includes one month of Xbox Game Pass. The offer gives buyers a way to add streaming apps and 4K playback to a television with an HDMI port, but the source report does not say when the discount expires or whether conditions apply to the Game Pass month.
The reported price is $30 below the $69.99 original price, which the source describes as a 43% discount. Best Buy’s listed deal also bundles a month of Xbox Game Pass, assigned a value of $22.99 by the report. That is the stated value of the subscription month, not a cash rebate or a reduction in the device’s checkout price: shoppers pay $39.99 for the advertised offer.
Amazon released the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus in 2025, according to the source. The device connects to a TV’s HDMI port and provides access to streaming services through Amazon’s Fire TV interface. Reported specifications include a quad-core 1.7GHz processor, Wi-Fi 6, 4K streaming, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos support. The benefits users get from these formats depend on the television, audio equipment, network and streaming service they use.
The device comes with an Alexa Voice Remote that can control TV power and volume, as well as Alexa features. The source report also describes Fire TV search across services including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Max, and points to free, ad-supported options such as Tubi, Pluto TV and Fire TV Channels. Xbox cloud gaming is another advertised feature, but playing titles such as Forza Motorsport or Starfield requires Game Pass Ultimate and a compatible controller, according to the report.
A Lower-Cost Route to 4K Streaming
For households with a TV that lacks current streaming apps, a stick can add a connected-TV interface without replacing the screen. At $39.99, the offer is below the device’s stated $69.99 original price, although buyers should compare it with other streaming devices and current prices before deciding that it is the best fit. The advertised savings relate to this product’s original price, not necessarily the lowest price it has reached.
The bundle may be more useful to people who already play games through Xbox Cloud Gaming or plan to try Game Pass. Its practical value depends on the subscription terms, access to a stable internet connection and ownership of a suitable controller. Those who do not use the service should not treat the reported $22.99 subscription value as an automatic saving on a purchase they otherwise would not make.
Picture and sound features also do not guarantee a visible upgrade on every setup. Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos require compatible equipment and content; the source does not establish how performance compares with competing streaming sticks. For buyers mainly looking for apps on an older television, the core question is whether the device’s interface, supported services and remote meet their needs.

What the Bundle Includes
The source report presents this as a Best Buy price promotion on a model Amazon released in 2025, rather than a new product launch. It says the stick has been reduced from $69.99 to $39.99 and pairs the purchase with one month of Game Pass. It does not provide a dated price history, so the stated 43% reduction is measured against the original price cited in the report, not a documented long-term average.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus is designed to make a television with an available HDMI port usable for streaming. It runs Amazon’s Fire TV software and supports Alexa voice search. The report lists access to several major paid services and free ad-supported apps, but availability and subscription requirements vary by service, country and account. Buying the stick does not include ongoing subscriptions to Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ or Max.
The included Game Pass month is distinct from the device’s streaming functions. The report says cloud gaming requires Game Pass Ultimate and a controller. It does not spell out whether the promotion is available to existing subscribers, whether a payment method is required, or whether the month renews automatically at a paid rate. Buyers should check the terms shown by Best Buy and Xbox before redeeming the offer.
“The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus is now just $39.99, a 43% saving.”

Deal Terms Still Need Checking
The source report does not provide an offer end date, stock information or confirmation that the deal is available at every Best Buy location. Prices and availability can change, so the $39.99 listing should be checked at the retailer before purchase.
It is also unclear from the supplied material whether the Game Pass month is limited to new subscribers, how it is redeemed, whether taxes or other restrictions apply, and whether the subscription renews automatically. The report gives the month a value of $22.99 but does not include the promotion’s full terms. It does not provide independent testing or comparative results for the device’s speed, wireless performance, picture quality or game streaming.
The phrase “turn any TV into a smart TV” has limits: the television needs an HDMI port and a usable internet connection, and some advertised formats require compatible display or audio hardware. The source does not specify regional restrictions or whether every listed service and feature is available to all customers.
Check Price and Subscription Conditions
Shoppers interested in the offer should verify the current checkout price and stock at Best Buy, then review the Game Pass redemption and renewal conditions before buying. They should also check that their TV has an available HDMI input and that their home network can support the streaming quality they want.
The source provides no announced end date or later price milestone. Until Best Buy or Amazon publishes further information, the status of the promotion remains subject to changes in price and availability. Any decision to buy should account for the cost of paid streaming services, a compatible gaming controller if cloud gaming is a priority, and the limitations of the buyer’s existing TV and internet service.
